Payment Policy

This policy describes the payment methods we accept on ashcroft-flatcaps.com and how we keep your transactions secure.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and other networks shown at checkout;
Express wallets: Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay;
Shop Pay Installments — pay over time in interest-free installments (see Section 2);
PayPal, where offered.

The methods actually available are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by specialized providers, including Shopify Payments and, where applicable, PayPal.

2. Pay Over Time — Shop Pay Installments (0% Interest, No Fees)

At checkout you can choose Shop Pay Installments to split an eligible order into 4 interest-free, biweekly payments — 0% APR, with no hidden fees and no late fees. Your first payment may be due at checkout or two weeks later, and the remaining payments are automatically charged to your saved card every two weeks.

Available to customers with a U.S. billing address and a U.S. mobile number, subject to an eligibility check.
Interest-free installments are provided through Shopify's lending partner (Affirm). Choosing the interest-free "pay in 4" option has no impact on your credit score.
For larger orders, longer monthly payment plans may also be offered; these can carry interest. The exact terms, payment schedule, and any applicable APR are always shown before you confirm your order.

Shop Pay Installments is offered and administered by Shopify and its lending partners, not by ASHCROFT & Co. Availability and terms are determined by the provider at checkout.

3. Currency

Prices and charges are in U.S. dollars (USD) unless another currency is displayed at checkout. If your bank applies a foreign-exchange rate or fee for a payment in another currency, those charges are set by your bank and are your responsibility.

4. When You Are Charged

Payment is captured when you place your order (or, for Shop Pay Installments, according to the installment schedule shown at checkout). The sale contract is finalized only once your payment or financing is authorized. If a payment is declined, the order is not processed.

5. Transaction Security

Transactions are secured with SSL/TLS encryption. Card payments are handled by providers that are PCI-DSS compliant and may use strong authentication (such as 3-D Secure). We do not have access to, and do not store, your full card details — they are processed directly by the payment provider.

6. Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and prevent fraud, orders may be subject to verification. We reserve the right to hold or cancel any order that shows signs of fraud or a payment problem, or to request additional confirmation before shipping.

7. Sales Tax & Receipts

Applicable sales tax is calculated and displayed at checkout where required. An order confirmation is sent by email; a receipt or invoice is available on request at help@ashcroft-flatcaps.com.

8. Refunds

Any refunds are issued to the original payment method, as described in our Returns & Refunds Policy and Terms of Sale. For orders paid with Shop Pay Installments, refunds are handled in accordance with the provider's terms and adjust your remaining installment balance.
